The trucks filled to the brim with humanitarian aid have reached Balochistan

Balochistan is a province devastated by the floods. The World Memon Organisation Pakistan Chapter team are on ground zero, personally distributing relief aid to the flood victims.

The torrential rains and accompanying floods have left behind a trail of human misery. Tales of death and cries of hunger fill the air. Entire villages have been swallowed by the floods or buried under landslides. Rivers are overflowing, many have burst their banks. One third of Pakistan is under water and 33 million are affected by the rains. There is no food to eat or clean water to drink, waterborne diseases are spreading, there are broken homes, broken dreams and all hope seems to slowly wash away.

We are grateful to our donors for helping us serve humanity at their most vulnerable time. We are indebted to the Pakistan armed forces for their assistance in the rescue and relief work. And we pray to the Almighty to ease the sufferings.

The WMO Flood Relief campaign will extend to Sindh next, another province ravaged by the monster monsoons in Pakistan.
