President of WMO and Chairman Global Youth Wing WMO meets Co-founder of the ride-hailing startup Careem

March 2022 will mark three years since Uber acquired Careem for 3.1 BILLION US Dollars. It created a record for the highest price paid for the acquisition of a Middle East tech startup.

Mr. Mudassir Sheikha is the blazing CEO and co-founder of the ride-hailing startup Careem which operates in more than 100 cities, across 14 countries with over one million captains on its platform.

Chairman ARY group and President of WMO – Mr. Salman Iqbal and CEO Kalia Group and Chairman Global Youth Wing WMO – Mr. Khurram Kalia met up with Mudassir Sheikha in Dubai.

Salman Iqbal underlined the ethos of the World Memon Organisation, elaborating on the extensive humanitarian endeavours undertaken by the organisation to uplift Mankind. Mr. Kalia expounded on the many initiatives and projects undertaken by the youth, including Inspire card, Memon Olympics and the job placement portal – Elevate.

Mr. Sheikha appreciated the large body of work being done by WMO and assured of his steadfast support, especially in providing employment opportunities to the youth via wmoelevate.com.

Furthermore, Mr. Salman Iqbal shared his vision for the World Memon Organisation and invited Mr. Sheikha to join the WMO Think Tank, an international advisory body that would effectively create a strategic vision to shape the future of the global Memon community.
