WMO Ladies Wing – Europe Chapter : Widows Support Fund

The plight of a widowed family languishing in the depths of poverty, after losing their sole breadwinner is heart wrenching. India holds the dubious distinction of being a country with the highest widow population in the World.

The Ladies Wing of the World Memon Organisation Europe Chapter have been supporting and empowering these less fortunate women for over a decade.

The young and able women have been nurtured and trained to cultivate special skill sets that enable them to earn a livelihood, provide for their families, afford an education for their children thus ensuring a life of dignity. Over the years hundreds of sewing machines have been provided by WMO to help these enterprising women stand on their feet.

As the holy month of Ramadan is once again upon us, we urge you to donate generously towards the pertinent cause.

Please step up to the plate for the most vulnerable and discriminated women in India. Be a part of this incredible journey as they transform into strong, spirited and independent women.
