It was a night to remember.

On the 29th of July, a watershed event in the history of the World Memon Organisation took place on the West Coast of the United States of America.

The crème de la crème of the North American Memon community had congregated in coastal California to honor visiting WMO President Salman Iqbal. Mayors, doyens of industry, philanthropists and distinguished members belonging to the upper echelons of business and politics, graced the occasion.

The setting was the plush Hyatt Regency on Huntington beach, overlooking the Pacific with the gracious hosts, WMO Trustee Faizan Bakali and his better half Firasat welcoming the esteemed guest list.

Many took the floor, a vibrant presentation chronicled the 20 year journey of WMO, elaborating on the extensive humanitarian endeavours undertaken by the organisation in all corners of the globe while others spoke about what the future holds.

Mr. Salman Iqbal emphasized about strength in unity, expanded on the history of the organization and the significant role the Memons of California played in it. The WMO President spoke at length about Inspire Card, an evolution in making charitable donations, where each penny is accounted for, all transactions are transparent and every action is guaranteed in compliance with the highest international standards. A revolutionary step towards cashless charity.

A record 12 Trustees and 5 Patrons joined the organization. WMO North America Chapter which had always shown so much promise, finally delivered.

The tireless efforts of the World Memon Organisation to unite the Memons of this vast continent for the common cause of Serving Mankind have come to fruition. And today we have just one person to thank for it, a force of nature called Faizan Bakali.
