The WMO Food Bank project was initiated in many parts of India with the objective of eradicating hunger

The project was implemented alongside the Mohobbatein project which WMO North India Chapter implements every year on the eve of the birth anniversary of the Prophet SAW (PBUH). Under Project Mohobbatein, the Chapter provides a broad spectrum of humanitarian services to the less fortunate, across the length and breadth of the country to celebrate the auspicious date.

This year the central theme was food distribution, keeping in line with the WMO Food Bank project. Several cities organised a Langar, a community kitchen whereby hot meals were served out of large utensils to the gatherings.

It has been a fortunate beginning for the Food Bank campaign as it has been initiated on a very blessed date. And with the blessings of the Almighty Allah SWT and our beloved Prophet SAW (PBUH), we hope to achieve our objective – to End World Hunger. Insha’Allah.

The World Memon Organisation wishes everyone Eid E Milad Un Nabi. May this auspicious occasion bring health, happiness, peace and prosperity to the World.
