Strengthening Memon Unity in the Middle East: Key Discussions Between WMO and MASA Leaders
In a significant step toward fostering greater collaboration within the Memon community, Mr. Kamran Ghani, Regional President of the World Memon Organisation (WMO) Middle East Chapter, and Mr. Waseem Tai, President of the Memon Association of Saudi Arabia (MASA), convened in Dubai for their second round of high-level discussions. Mr. Ahmed Shaikhani former Regional President WMO ME was part of the meeting as well. The meeting aimed to explore actionable strategies for building a more cohesive, empowered, and interconnected Memon community across the Middle East, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia.
The dialogue yielded several forward-thinking ideas, with Mr. Waseem Tai taking the lead in proposing concrete steps to strengthen engagement. Among the key suggestions was the convening of an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which would serve as a pivotal gathering for Memon leaders, business figures, and community members.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to accelerate planning for the proposed AGM while working on a long-term roadmap for community development, education, and entrepreneurship support.
