GYW Africa has completed another successful planting at a rural school in South Africa – Mzoxolo Creche

Residents of this community live on the breadline and are largely unemployed.

Little students were taught the importance of trees in our environment and were then involved in the planting of the trees. A mix of fruit and indigenous trees that are atleast 1 year old were planted at this school, including fig, plum, orange and wild olive trees.

The school was also given trays of vegetable seeds to add to their vegetable garden. Students were enthusiastic and excited to participate in the activity. The school has expressed its deep and heartfelt gratitude to WMO for making this possible, especially since many students are unable to afford a pre-packed lunch when they come to school.

May these trees grow to provide this community with nutritious food for years to come and may Allah SWT accept our efforts and our donations!
