In its continued efforts to end hunger in South Africa, WMO Africa Chapter has embarked on the Mielie Meal project wherein 10,000 Meal bags will be delivered to marginalised families of the rainbow nation.

Mielie Meal or Maize Meal, a relatively coarser flour made from maize is the staple food of South Africa. It is a highly nutritional food with rich content of carbohydrates, proteins, fat and fiber. Each 10 kilograms Mielie Meal Bag will cost R50.

The project is well underway with distribution drives in the KwaZulu Natal region with the collaborative efforts of Jama’atun Nisaa and Natal Memon Jamaat.

As a wise man once said, if you want to eliminate hunger everybody has to be involved. WMO Africa Chapter dearly seeks your involvement for a very worthy cause.
