WMOPC Meeting of the Higher Education Committee was Convened in Karachi

Education is the bedrock on which communities and nations rise and stand. It is the birth right of every child. And it is on this firm belief that Education is the most Powerful Weapon which you can use to change the World, that record numbers of deprived students receive an education each year, courtesy the World Memon Organisation.

Since its inception, the World Memon Organisation has been striving to promote education within the Memon community. WMO has been providing financial assistance to the underprivileged segment of the community for the edification of their children. Enabling them to stand up on their feet, support their families and live a life of dignity.

Pakistan Chapter remains on the forefront of this important initiative with MITI ( Memon Industrial and Technical Institute) being it’s flag bearer. MITI has created job opportunities for more than a hundred thousand youngsters who have cultivated special skill sets through the wide variety of technical, IT and multimedia courses taught at the institute.

On the 25th of September, a meeting of the higher education committee was convened in Karachi to formulate a uniform WMO education policy for the Memon Community in Pakistan. Many pertinent issues were discussed and brainstorming sessions were held to build a strong foundation and create brighter futures for the youth of the country.
