The WMO North India Chapter hosted a vibrant and culturally rich Memon Eid Mela on Wednesday, 16 April 2025, at the Islam Gym Khana in Mumbai, drawing an impressive crowd of over 6,000 attendees. This annual family-friendly carnival, organized to celebrate Eid festivities while fostering community unity, was hailed as a resounding success, blending tradition, entertainment, and philanthropy.

The Islam Gym Khana, a landmark in Mumbai known for hosting grand cultural events, provided the perfect backdrop. Its spacious grounds accommodated thousands, featuring colorful stalls, stages, and activity zones designed to engage guests of all ages.

Attendees enjoyed a diverse lineup of activities, including traditional Memon cuisine stalls offering delicacies, live cultural performances, and bazaars showcasing handicrafts and clothing. There were kidsโ€™ zones with games, rides, and more.

The mela emphasized the Memon communityโ€™s ethos of charity and togetherness.

Local leaders and WMO officials graced the event, commending its dual role in preserving Memon heritage and fostering inclusivity. Dr. Haseen Aghadi, Regional President of the WMO India Chapter, lauded the efforts of volunteers and the organizing team, with special recognition extended to key contributors Razia Chasmawala, Shakeel Battliwala, Muddasir Patel, Javid Parekh, and Salim Bandukia for their indispensable roles in ensuring the melaโ€™s triumph.
