WMO Africa Chapter Youth Wing Report: Andrea’s Gift Foundation Lupus Awareness Event

The WMO Africa Chapter Youth Wing Durban supported the Andrea’s Gift Foundation’s Lupus Awareness Event held this past Saturday.

Andrea’s Gift Foundation is a patient-centred, pro-awareness NPO founded in March 2018. Their core work includes:

•   Education and awareness
•   Hospital visits
•   Counseling for lupus patients and families
•   Building community support groups
•   Providing emotional support

Event Highlights:
• A powerful keynote by the founder of Andrea’s Gift Foundation
• Guidance on how to manage lupus with medical aid
• Practical tips for daily lupus care from healthcare professionals
• Light snacks, lucky draws, and curated gift bags for attendees

This ticketed event brought together medical professionals, patients, families, and supporters — all with the goal of raising awareness and offering meaningful support to South Africans living with lupus.

WMO Youth Wing Participation:
