The WMO Food Program initiated in Leicester
The WMO Food Program was initiated in Leicester, whereby essential food items were delivered to the vulnerable of the region. Leicester is situated 100 miles to the north of London. WMO Europe Chapter partnered with Maulana Muhammad Lokhat of the As-Salaam Trust, based at the Peace Centre in Leicester.
The Peace Centre also serves as a food bank, wherein the food packs were stored for distribution. Mr. Sikander Sattar, former Regional Vice President of WMO Europe Chapter joined current VP – Mr. Imran Panaawala for the food distribution drive in Leicester.
