The 4th RMC meeting of the WMO Middle East Chapter
The 4th Regional Management Committee (RMC) meeting of the Middle East Chapter was organized at Park Regis Hotel, Business Bay, Dubai on June 07th, 2024.
Mr. Afzal Allah Rakha Regional Secretary WMO ME convened a meeting. Mr. Iqbal Tabani recited holy quran to mark start of the meeting. Mr. Kamran Ghani Regional President, welcomed RMC members attended the meeting. He also briefed members the performance of specialist committees formed, namely membership development, welfare and events. A significant number of RMC members attended the meeting, demonstrating their commitment to the cause. A valuable input was given by Mr. Iqbal Dawood, Mrs. Shabana Razzak Moosani, Mr. Shabbir Merchant, Mr. Gulam Mohamed & Mr. Rizwan Fancy.
New RMC Member Mr. Akil Vakil was also introduced. All RMC member welcomed New appointed WMO ME Ladies Regional Chairperson Mrs. Zeenat Yaseen Merchant, Ms. Sobia Asghar, Regional Ladies Secretary & Mrs. Madiha Furqan, Regional Ladies Treasurer. Ladies Wing assured their full support for all the processes that have been undertaken. This level of engagement and collaboration among the members was truly commendable.
A two new scheme was approved by RMC to further augment WMO ME activities namely Rozgar Scheme & Assistance in Higher Education.
As the meeting drew to a close, a dua (prayer) was offered by Mr. Iqbal Dawood for the betterment of the community and humanity as a whole. This gesture reflected the deep sense of compassion and unity that exists within the RMC.
