Awarded to Mr. Salman Iqbal, President World Memon Organisation – The Visionary, Inspirational Leader and Eternal Feminist

I remember a week before the AGM when my mother was choosing trophies and plaques to be awarded by the ladies wing to the dignitaries at the big event.

One was being specially curated for the WMO President – Salman Iqbal.

When my mum asked of me, what engravings should be inscribed on the award, my suggestion was simple – 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙈𝙧. 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙄𝙦𝙗𝙖𝙡, 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮, 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩

The order could have been reversed and we could have started with eternal feminist ; knowing Salman Iqbal and the high esteem in which he holds women. A very vocal advocate of women empowerment, a strong proponent of 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣, 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 and the lavish praise he showers on the ladies who have played an integral role in making him the man he is today.

By amending the Constitution, he has given the ladies their rightful place in the upper echelons of WMO, whereby they can play the vital role of decision makers. Women around the World have overcome all odds, broken the glass ceiling and are leading their nations to glory. With the dynamic Shabana ARY at the helm, we could soon have women holding the top executive positions in WMO.

And with Salman Iqbal backing the ladies to the hilt, all I can say to the wonderful women of the World Memon Organisation – 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪!!
