The WMO USA & Canada Chapter kicked off its inaugural Ramadan Fundraiser on Friday evening at the Sheraton Hotel in Los Angeles, California, marking a resounding success. The event set a standard for upcoming fundraising campaigns, inspiring other chapters to follow suit in their respective regions.

The evening was nothing short of spectacular, with an impressive over $300,000 raised in a single night for various charitable projects. “InshaAllah, our goal is to reach the milestone of $500,000,” shared Mr. Anees Bakali, Regional President of the USA and Canada Chapter, expressing optimism and gratitude for the overwhelming support.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Asim Ali Khan, Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles, who delivered an inspiring keynote speech. The evening was further enriched by a soulful Quran recitation by Hafiz Mudasar Niazi and a lively Memon comedy session by Shabbir Bawaney, leaving the audience both moved and entertained.

The fundraiser not only achieved its financial goals but also fostered a sense of community and shared purpose, setting a powerful example for future initiatives.
