For the past two years, Mr. Moosa Carrim and his family, along with the WMO Africa Chapter, have been supporting this “Chicken Breeding Empowerment Project” as an effective model for poverty reduction in a rural area.

On a farm in Northern Transvaal – Limpopo area breeding hens and distributing them to approximately +-50 fortunate households once they are fully grown. The eggs produced by the hens are sold in the market to community members, serving as their primary source of income.

This project has been truly inspiring, as these families are dedicated to achieving self-sufficiency and contributing to their community.
