Dr. Haseen Aghadi, Regional President, WMO North India Chapter (WMONIC), along with a distinguished WMONIC delegation, attended the Green Crusader Awards 2026 on Sunday, 30th August 2026, at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune.

The WMO delegation comprised Mr. Imtiyaz Motorwala (WMONIC Governing Council Member), Mr. Javed Parekh (WMONIC City Chairman), Mr. Shakil Batliwala (Chairman, WMONIC Sports Committee), Mr. Sakir Batliwala (WMONIC Life Member), Mr. Kamran Aghadi (WMO Well-Wisher), and Mr. Shezan Batliwala (WMONIC Youth).

The prestigious event was organized by Panchshil Foundation and Bhamla Foundation, as part of the celebrations marking 80 Years of India’s Independence, and was dedicated to honouring pioneers driving meaningful change for our planet.

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including His Excellency Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra; Smt. Savitri Thakur Ji, Hon’ble Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Government of India; and Smt. Pankaja Munde, Hon’ble Minister for Environment and Climate Change.

The participation of WMO reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote environmental responsibility, sustainability, social awareness, and meaningful community-led change. WMO continues to believe that collective action and responsible citizenship are essential to building a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future for generations to come.
