WMO Middle East and North India Regional Presidents Forge Stronger Inter-Chapter Ties in Dubai Meeting

Mr. Kamran Ghani, Regional President of the WMO Middle East Chapter, hosted Mr. Haseen Aghadi, Regional President of the WMO North India Chapter, for a high-level meeting in Dubai.

The primary focus of the discussions was to foster a stronger, more collaborative relationship between the two chapters, with an emphasis on exploring concrete avenues to enhance cooperation on charitable and welfare initiatives. Both leaders exchanged insights on ongoing projects and identified key areas—ranging from healthcare support to educational scholarships—where joint efforts could yield greater community impact.

Mr. Haseen Aghadi briefed that the Palgar hospital is set to become operational shortly, as all necessary certificates have already been secured.

The meeting reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing the WMO’s core mission through closer, more structured cooperation across regions.

Also present at the session were Mr. Afzal Allah Rakha, Regional Secretary of the WMO Middle East Chapter; Mr. Gulam Mohamed Iqbal, Regional Treasurer of the Middle East Chapter; and WMO General Manager, Mr Aneel Ameen, whose collective input further underscored the organization’s unified vision for cross-border humanitarian service.
