WMO firmly believes that humanity is facing an existential crisis because of global warming. Climate change will have far-reaching effects on future generations hence it is imperative that we reduce global emissions and our carbon footprint.

Recycling is on the front line in the war to save our planet because it plays a key role in protecting our natural resources.

The World Memon Organisation North India Chapter, Material Recycling Association of India (MRAI), Ummeed Foundation and Shakti Plastic Industries came together to celebrate Global Recycling Day in Mumbai on the 18th of March.

Trees were planted, dustbins and recycled benches were installed at railway stations while children raised awareness by holding up placards.

WMO donated hearing aids and wheelchairs to children with special needs to mark the occasion.

We are grateful to the magnanimous Mohammad Farooq Samana for his generous contribution towards the wheelchairs.

It was a fulfilling day as WMO stood tall for an important environmental cause and we did our bit to go green.
