WMO Africa Chapter and Natal Memon Jamaat has undertaken to support the construction of 100 Houses in Lasbella Balochistan

WMO Africa Chapter and Natal Memon Jamaat (NMJ) has undertaken to support the construction of 100 Houses in Lasbella Balochistan in WMO’s humanitarian endeavours to serve the flood victims of Balochistan, Pakistan. This is in continuation of pledge made during ARY Telethon, in collaboration with WMO for flood relief in Pakistan.

Several houses has been already handed over to effected families by WMO Pakistan Chapter with the support of Pakistan Navy.

A meeting was held on January 6th, 2023 to evaluate the progress of the project. Hosted at the WMO House in Karachi, Pakistan, called by Kamran Ghani – Chief Advisor WMO GYW and A K Ismaile from WMO Africa Chapter. Followed by a visit to the affected site on January 7th, where the office Bearers of WMO-PC with AK Ismail and Mulassam. 60 complete houses are handed over to the affectees and remaining will be done by the end of January.

The project will be completed by the end of January 2023.

Furthermore it is decided to build minimum of 200 more such houses to offset the difficulties faced by affectees in the region of Sindh
