The 3 storey 𝙒𝙈𝙊 𝙇𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 stands complete in the middle of the Ambojwadi slums, in the far flung suburbs of Mumbai. It stands tall as a beacon of hope and empowerment for women, offering a multitude of courses including sewing, embroidery, computer training, self grooming, cooking, among several others.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙕𝙤𝙝𝙧𝙖 𝙉𝙤𝙤𝙧 foundation emblem sits firm atop the building as the cornerstone of the structure was laid several months ago, courtesy the magnanimity of 𝙈𝙧. 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙉𝙤𝙤𝙧 – former President of the World Memon Organisation. Other pillars of support include 𝙈𝙧. 𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝘽𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖 – Regional Secretary General of WMO Far East Chapter and 𝙈𝙧. 𝙀𝙝𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙂𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖 – Regional President of WMO North India Chapter.

It is one the most significant projects undertaken by 𝙈𝙧𝙨 𝙍𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙮𝙖 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙢𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖. The center is her labour of love for the furtherance of women empowerment in India. The Co-Chairperson of the WMO ladies wing North India Chapter is the perfect epitome of strong women empowering other women.

The prime objective of the training center is to enable the ladies to stand on their feet, earn a livelihood, sustain their families, provide their children with an education thus ensuring a life of dignity.

Raziya Chashmawala often enquires, “𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙖 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧?”

We can only stand up and applaud this superwoman who has singlehandedly built another institution that will churn out an assembly of strong, empowered, self-reliant women – the primary caretakers of families, communities, countries and the world.
