Ramadan Ration Bags

In keeping with the bountiful spirit of giving during the Holy month of Ramadan, several WMO Chapters across the globe deliver hundreds of food packs to the underprivileged families that dwell in their corner of the World.

Each pack consists of several kgs of essential food items such as rice, wheat, dal, sugar, salt, tea, spices along with ghee, oil, milk powder, dates and sweets. During the Month of Fasting we would like to ease the burden on our Muslim brothers and sisters hence we are doing our bit to bring food on their table. 250 foodpacks were distributed in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Ramadan Ration Bags distribution took place in Mumbai as well.

The ladies wing had taken on the mantle to distribute the bags with Mrs Maimoona Darvesh (WMO International Ladies Wing Chairperson) spearheading the cause in the Middle East and Mrs. Raziya Chashmawala (Deputy Chairperson – WMO India Chapter Ladies Wing) attending to a massive gathering of more than 500 marginalised women in Mumbai.
