PepsiCo International has endorsed the Ramadan Iftar Camp initiative of the World Memon Organisation Middle East Chapter by presenting a cheque of AED 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Dhirams) to WMO stalwarts, Mr Haroon Karim and Mr. Mahmood Shaikhani on the 3rd of July at their Dubai office.
The Feed the Fasting campaign started in 2015 by the setting up of a single camp at Dubai Investment Park where Muslim brothers gathered under one roof to break their fast. In 2016, 2 camps were set up and thanks to the wonderful collaboration with PepsiCo, a third camp will be put in place in 2017. WMO is estimating a 100,000 meals will be served in 2017, starting from 37,500 in 2015, multiplying to almost 75,000 meals served in 2016.
