Mr. Ashraf Machiyara, the Regional President of the WMO PC, hosted a dinner to discuss education in Pakistan.

Mr. Ashraf Machiyara, the Regional President of the WMO Pakistan Chapter, hosted a dinner at his residence along with a meeting to discuss the implementation of previously discussed ideas and notions regarding the promotion of education in Pakistan.

The meeting took place on February 1st, 2024 and was attended by the following individuals:

  3. Shoaib Ismail Mangroria
  4. Hussain Lawai
  5. Shoaib Ibrahim
  6. Mushtaq Chapra
  7. Ashraf Bawany
  8. Hammad Muslim
  9. Irfan Amanullah
  10. Shabbir Machiyara (via Zoom)
  11. Shabbir Haroon (via Zoom)

The panel, led by the Memon Vadeels and consisting of Arif Habib, Salman Iqbal, Ibrahim Qasim, Bashir Jan Mohammad, and Shabbir Machiyara, serves as the Think Tank. Additionally, another committee responsible for the execution of the discussed ideas will be formed later on.

The main points discussed during the gathering are as follows:

  1. It was decided that eligible Memon students would receive financial and strategic support from umbrella Memon groups to help them achieve their educational goals and excel in their chosen careers.
  2. The broad objectives were divided into three categories:

a. Short-term objectives: These include reviewing the quality of education and developing policies to admit children from the community. Skill development programs will also be synchronized with education.

b. Medium-term goals: The aim is to establish a comprehensive process for evaluating facilities and developing a modern educational curriculum.

c. Long-term goal: The plan is to establish an autonomous and expertly managed Memon Board to oversee the entire agenda.

  1. A significant achievement was made as the committee will form strategic partnerships with expert organizations to assess institutions and staff members.

To facilitate a comprehensive discussion on the Program, a subsequent meeting has been scheduled for February 15th, 2024. This gathering aims to address the progress made thus far and explore potential future developments.

Following the meeting, a delightful dinner was organized, during which synopses were presented to esteemed guests including Mushtaq Madraswalla, Altaf Jangda, Umer Motlani, Musab Vindhani, and Jawad Choksi.
