At the 23rd Annual General Meeting & 4th Management Committee Meeting of the World Memon Organisation, held on Friday, 7th November 2025 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Jeddah, a landmark resolution was presented. The global leadership – Office Bearers and the Regional Management Committees of all WMO Chapters – proposed the creation of the honorary position of Patron-in-Chief and nominated and appointed the current President, Mr. Salman Iqbal (ARY), as its first incumbent, in recognition of his visionary leadership and service to the global Memon community.
