Happy Feet

Dr. Taheera Hassim literally marched on with the WMO Africa Chapter “Orphanage Project” by providing 64 pairs of school shoes to the children at the Salmaan Farsi Orphanage in Grasmere on the outskirts of Johannesburg.

Taheera personally delivered the shoes on Friday 31st May, as there was a compelling need for footwear since many children did not own a single pair and most had worn out their current ones; making it extremely cumbersome to walk the long road to their schools.

The children were very appreciative when they were gifted their custom sized shoes. As the adage goes – good shoes take you good places, WMO hopes that these new pairs provide the children with ease and comfort, putting them firmly on the path to education and a brighter future.
