Another Ashiyaana Housing Project Delivered in India

by on 31 December 2020

Savarkundla is a town in the Amreli district of South Gujarat. It has a sizable Memon population.

On the 3rd of January, 15 underprivileged families of the Memon community moved into their very own homes in Savarkundla. As another Legacy project of India stood completed, Ashiyaana welcomed the 15 families into her fold.

Ashiyaana Housing project was envisioned by Mr. Samir Hingora a prominent patron member of WMO North India Chapter. The occasion was peppered with joyous scenes and tears as the eyes of several family
members welled up as they became proud home owners on the memorable day.

The word ‘Ashiyaana’ means a nest. A most enduring legacy – a roof over the heads of marginalized families of the Memon Community – a nest for all to come home to.
