WMO AFRICA YOUTH WING in collaboration with CAPE TOWN MEMON ASSOCIATION and INVISIBLE HANDS
Members of the youth led by GYW RVC Sadaf Vahedna and seniors joined hands to help impoverished communities in Cape Town. Driving through some of the most impoverished and needy areas in South Africa and personally dropping off food parcels to the homes of needy Muslims.
Visiting the homes of these needy families helped all members appreciate the challenges these communities are stricken with and the level of unemployement and lack of opportunity which was seen first hand.
Recipients of the food parcels were grateful to the WMO Africa Chapter and it’s donors and affiliates for making this distribution possible.
Invisible Hands is an organisation established in 2020 that aims to feed people in impoverished areas. What makes their work unique is the fact that they use members from within impoverished communities to help with the distribution of food and supplies. This allows food and ration to reach to those areas and those people that normally would never receive any help mainly because of our own limitations in giving out food as outsiders in these communities.
May Allah SWT accept our efforts and help our Zakaat and Sadaqah reach those families that need them the most. May our charity have barakah and be beneficial for all those who receive it in the short and the long run.
Special Thanks to Asraf Karim and the Cape Town Memon Association for collaborating with and supporting the WMO Africa Chapter and it’s youth.
Ameen 🤲
