WMO Africa Chapter has initiated a poultry farming project to empower 50 families residing in the Transvaal region of South Africa

60 chickens were donated to each family which will be raised for eggs and meat. The livestock were delivered under the watchful eye of Mr Moosa Carrim who will be the Project Leader.

Empowerment projects firmly underline our belief – “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”

We are truly ‘egg’cited and hopeful that the project will achieve its objective of enabling the recipients to earn a livelihood, sustain their families, provide their children with an education thus ensuring a life with dignity.
