Monday, 7th September — Yunus Paruk and Sattar Dada hosted a warm and well-attended luncheon in honour of the visiting WMO delegates in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). The occasion brought together senior figures from WMO Africa Chapter to welcome the distinguished guests and strengthen ties between the chapters.

The guests of honour were Salman Iqbal, WMO President, and Kamran Ghani, Regional President of the WMO Middle East Chapter, who were visiting KZN as part of their broader engagement with the organisation’s regional structures.

The lunch was also graced by a notable gathering of WMO leadership, past and present, including:

Yusuf Kamdar — Deputy Chairman, WMO Board of Trustees
Ahmed Gani — Regional President, WMO Africa Chapter
Feizul Ayub — Former Regional President, WMO Africa Chapter
Yunus Suleman — Former WMO Treasurer

along with several other esteemed dignitaries from the local Memon community.

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for fellowship and dialogue between current and former office-bearers of the organisation, reflecting the continued spirit of unity and cooperation that characterises the WMO across its regional chapters.
