In a significant step toward strengthening community ties, the World Memon Organisation (WMO) Pakistan Chapter convened a meeting with senior representatives of other Memon associations across Pakistan, held at the ARY Office. The gathering focused on deepening collaboration and reinforcing the bonds that unite Pakistan’s Memon community organisations.
The meeting was presided over by Salman Iqbal (WMO President), alongside Jan Muhammad Iqbal (WMO Trustee), Kamran Ghani (WMO Regional President – Middle East Chapter), Ashraf Machiyara (Regional President – Pakistan Chapter), and Shoaib Mangroria (Secretary, WMO Board of Trustees).
Representing fellow Memon associations were senior members Shabbir Haroon, Hanif Motlani, and Asif Kareem, who joined the discussion to explore avenues for closer cooperation between the organisations.
Also in attendance were Asif Majeed, H M Shahzad, and Altaf Jangda, along with key WMO Pakistan Chapter office-bearers: Arsalan Nara (Regional Secretary – Pakistan Chapter), Jawad Chowksi (Global Youth Wing Regional Vice Chair), and Musab Vindhani (Regional Treasurer – Pakistan Chapter).
During the meeting, Salman Iqbal applauded the significant increase in WMO Patrons, noting that Pakistan has now taken the lead in Patron numbers among all WMO chapters worldwide — a reflection of Pakistan being home to one of the largest Memon gatherings outside India.
The meeting underscored WMO’s continued commitment to fostering unity, dialogue, and collaborative initiatives among Memon organisations nationwide — a shared vision aimed at serving the broader community more effectively.
