WMO US & Canada Chapter’s Roadshow Spreads its Mission to the West Coast

The World Memon Organization (WMO) US & Canada Chapter’s highly successful “Roadshow” series continued its momentum with a landmark stop in the sunny coastal city of San Diego, California.

Home to a close-knit Memon community of approximately 200 Memons, San Diego warmly welcomed the WMO delegation. The event saw an impressive turnout, with over 65 community members—representing a significant portion of the local population—gathering to connect and learn about the WMO’s global philanthropic and community-building initiatives.

The evening was met with tremendous enthusiasm, culminating in a powerful show of support for the organization’s long-term vision. An extraordinary 25 attendees chose to solidify their commitment by enrolling as Life Members, a testament to the resonance of the WMO’s mission.

The event featured an inspiring lineup of speakers from the regional leadership:

Mr. Anees Bakali, Regional President, Mr. Altaf Godil, Regional Secretary, Mr. Zubair Rawda, Regional Treasurer, Ms. Salomee Memon, the Regional Ladies Chair for Global Ladies Wing (GLW) and Ms. Zahida Toufiq, RMC Member, who highlighted the pivotal role of women in the community’s development and shared the GLW’s impactful programs.

The San Diego stop proved that even in smaller communities, the drive for unity, charity, and progress is profound. The roadshow moves forward, strengthened by the new bonds formed and the renewed commitment of its San Diego members.
