The 9th Regional Management Committee Meeting of the WMO Pakistan Chapter was held on 25th April 2026 at WMO House, Karachi. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ashraf Kassim Machiyara, Regional President of the WMO Pakistan Chapter.

The primary objective of the meeting was to finalize nominations for the position of Regional Election Commissioner 2026. In accordance with the constitution, two names were unanimously recommended and forwarded to the Global Election Commissioner.

During the session, the Chairmen of the respective committees presented their reports, highlighting key achievements over the past term. Following these presentations, future plans were discussed, along with other constructive and productive matters.

The WMO Pakistan Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to WMO Trustee and Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Shoaib Ismail Mangroria, for his active participation in the session. He shared valuable insights on future programs and initiatives and encouraged the local body to actively participate in the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka during the last quarter of 2026.
