The AGM Edition – The Memon (December 2016)
The 14th AGM of the World Memon Organisation Charitable Foundation was hosted by the Middle East Chapter in the vibrant city of Dubai on the 29th of October 2016 at the Jumeirah Creek Side Hotel.
The AGM was a celebration of Memon brotherhood. The warm camaraderie, fellowship and affiliation of Memons across the globe towards this wonderful organisation was strikingly evident by the colossal turn out at the event.
There were large representations from South Africa, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, North America, England and the host nation of United Arab Emirates. It was extremely heartwarming to receive first-time attendees from Indonesia, Canada, Holland, Portugal, Uganda, Lesotho and Myanmar. Their gracious presence at the AGM endorsed WMO as the truly global, umbrella organization which unites all Memons under its wings.
Perhaps it’s time we requested Nokia to relinquish our tag line, rather the mission statement of our organisation.
